Maria: vocalist with 24-7

"I feel great knowing I've helped make the day special"

Maria provides both lead and backing vocals for 24-7 Wedding Band & Party Band. A former professional dancer who has appeared on Top of the Pops, she now sings on TV adverts and provides backing vocals and voiceovers for various TV production companies.

Previously signed to Chrysalis Records, Maria is still an avid songwriter and continues to provide material to music publishing companies. Her influences include Sade, Madonna, Tracy Thorn (Everything but the girl) and more recently the vocals of Beth Ditto (The Gossip) and Amy Winehouse. Says Maria:

"I enjoy being in 24-7, and find it very rewarding. Just to see brides enjoying themselves on their big day is satisfaction enough. When the first dance is played, through to when they're partying the night away, I feel great knowing I've helped make the day special for everyone involved."
