Steve: bass player with 24-7

Sharing the bill with Thin Lizzie and Wishbone Ash

Bass player Steve is one of the founding members of 24-7 Wedding Band & Party Band.

Steve boasts a long and varied musical history. On leaving university Steve played at the finals of Melody Maker’s ‘Best Band in Britain’ competition at the Roundhouse in London. For the next few years Steve, with his band Wicked Nun, toured the majority of the UK’s universities and concert halls in a 36-seater coach - sharing the bill with other up-and-coming luminaries such as Wishbone Ash, Curved Air, Argent, Edgar Broughton band, Barclay James Harvest, Hawkwind and Thin Lizzie.

Having decided to give up touring Steve then played bass for a number of bands in the South East. In more recent years he has became involved in a variety of musical projects and has been busy writing, performing and recording.

Steve’s musical influences vary from the likes of Chris Squire (Yes), Doug Wimbish (Living Colour), Roger Glover (Deep Purple) to Nathan East (Fourplay) and many others. Steve forms a tight back-line with Mark on drums to provide 24-7 with its solid driving rhythm section - just the ticket to keep the party sparkling!
